The Care industry relies on a remote workforce of care workers that are always on-the-go and constantly hustling to find more work. Generally, caregivers will work through agencies that manage and maintain the shifts to be assigned to them for work. With an ever-growing remote workforce to manage and a heavy influx of new and changing shifts, it is of high importance to the agencies that the communication lines between them and careworker are as efficient as possible. This will allow them to staff and maintain, a shift far more effectively.

With Finlabs' experience building technical eco-systems, we immediately looked to a platform that would have multiple interfaces to cater to our multiple end users. With care workers always being on-the-go a mobile application made the most sense. For the agencies, a more management heavy web-based software solution was leaned on to give them the flexibility and access to all the information needed. All of this would be driven by an intelligent back-end system that not only drives the backbone of our proposed eco-system but seamlessly integrates with existing systems that handle other aspects of the day-to-day business at the agencies. All of this while also ensuring compliance with healthcare and medical requirements.

Native apps for both Android and iOS were conceived, designed, and developed. The app experience was designed to allow caregivers to receive incoming available shifts that they could quickly respond to, and request to be staffed on. As their schedule builds up the app also becomes an intuitive reference point for the caregivers' up-coming schedule, allowing them to plan and manage their time appropriately.

Smart algorithms were developed to allow our schedulers effective matching of caregivers to shifts from their employee pool. We match based on current availability, client preferences, any training required for the shift, past history with the client, and vicinity, allowing matches to be made smarter, faster, and more efficiently than ever before.
